Just when Im about ready to give up on the human species.

Went to a benifit yard sale this am that my daughter was putting on for a friend who somehow ended up with a bullet in his head. I really liked this kid. We mulled over the universe a time or two on my front porch. So when this happened it made me sad. Yet there are miracles with this boys recovery that the neurologist says could only be attributed to prayer. I had to be impressed. I know they happen, Ive seen a few, but when you see miracles, and answers to prayer- its still an awsome thing. So was this kid a missonary type that he should have such things happen. Oh no not this one!! This kid isnt a saint, tho he does have a good heart. But I wouldnt save the whole of the human race at this point, and he is no exception. I wouldnt say that his amazing strides in recovery are the whole of the story. What has happened to the human beings around him is also amazing. My daughter who I thought was going over board in this situation has done some very nice things for this kid and his family. I thought what the heck they were friends, but on the friend scale he didnt hold any more weight then some old friends from the past.I started to feel like she should let the family handle it. But then I remembered when my husband was killed, I really couldnt handle much, and there were many people that came forward to lend a hand. So I didnt tell her to back away after that. At the yard sale today stuff was selling slowly and this man nobody knew drove up in a black and white pick up truck. The truck was older but well maintained. Nothing special. He looked around saw the posters the girls had made referring to the reason of the yard sale. My daughter told him the story and he said he would be back as he had little cash. So he left. I thought we had probley seen the last of him. But my daughter just smiled and told her friend about a man that was comming back to make a donation  After a while he showed back up. He asked if she would take a dollar for a beaded night lite shade. Sure she smiled. he walked over and handed me a small folded roll of money a dollar bill was on the outside. He said "dont open that till after I leave. " I had a feeling it held a hundred dollars. But I thought better of it. After he left She took the money and opened it. It held one hundred and one dollars! He didnt know us or the injured young man. Yet that didnt stop him from doing such a wonderful thing in such a tough economy ! So the miracles continue ,there are the people who continue to be moved, and then there are those moved by their actions. I guess its not time yet to push the button and nuke us all there is still hope. I am moved I must say. You never know how these thing end up but already this has proven to be a testement to many people that God is listening, and if you allow him to move through you, great things happen through some pretty average people.

Why Im blogging!

The nature of this blog is getting real, getting to your authentic self. I am going to share things I have learned, usually the hard way.Why because I am slightly delusional and think that someone out there in the great blogishere cares to hear what I have to say. And fob off if you dont!!LOL

Are you just a walking bill board??

My dad taught me alot of stuff. Sometimes it took a while before I got it but I usually caught on pretty quickly. One day I came home to find him sitting at the table with a seam ripper in one hand and a new Nike jacket with the tags dangling, in the other. He was laborisly cutting the swoosh from the from the front of the jacket. "dad" I said "what are you doing??" "That makes that jacket cool!" He said if they want me to advertise for them they will pay me to wear their logo!! I just shook my head and thought poor daddy, he dosn't get it. No I didnt get it! And everytime you pay the outragous prices for logos on hoodies or what ever, made in the same factories in China where the off brands are made you are getting it. Right in the back end!! Dont be stupid that was an advertising ploy that became really big in the late 70s and 80's. You pay more for stuff marked with the cool expensive brand logo on it so you look cool. No YOU dont, you look stupid!! You are saying I am a sheep!! I am stupid I pay three times the price for a hoodie so I can look cool. If you were cool you wouldnt need validation!
